Ideally situated in one of the most fertile in Korea, the Farm is renowned for its beauty. Each morning, the early dawn fog quietly floats in from the Seom Jin River, the orchard sparkles from the droplets of morning dew and the branches stretch out to absorb in the gentle warmth of the sun’s rays. In this breathtaking place, not a single drop of pesticides or damaging chemicals is used.

Cheong Maesil Plum Farm was established in 1931 in Gwangyang. 34 years later, Oh Cheon Kim, the original patriarch, received the Order of Industrial Service Merit in recognition for his contributions in introducing modern farming methodologies and in increasing the average farming household income in the province.

After 80 years, Cheong Maesil Plum Farm has grown and holds 40,000 maesil plum trees in our orchard and over 5,000 onggi jars. a landmark of Korean traditions and culture, the farm is a popular tourist site for visitors, documentaries, television shows and films.
